InfoGuard carries out management buy-out
InfoGuard carried out a management buy-out at the beginning of February 2018, thereby simplifying its ownership structure, the IT company recently announced. In this way, the IT security specialist intends to drive forward its growth strategy.
The demand for services and solutions in the field of cyber security and Cyber Defence is continuously increasing. The company, which was founded in 1988, has InfoGuard has benefited enormously in recent years and has grown strongly. In the past fiscal year 2017, the company again reported revenue and personnel growth of more than 10 percent. The company currently employs 100 experts in the areas of security consulting, penetration testing, integration and engineering of cyber security and network solutions, as well as in the area of security operations. According to the company, it has invested heavily in this area in recent years and has further expanded its services from the Swiss Cyber Defence Center. In order to secure its successful position in the long term and to make targeted investments in new areas, the company is restructuring itself through a management buy-out (MBO).
Who is behind the MBO?
The MBO will be led by Robert Schlup (Chairman of the Board of InfoGuard AG and Crypto Schweiz AG) as well as Thomas Meier (CEO of InfoGuard AG) and Giuliano Otth (CEO of Crypto Schweiz AG), according to a statement. In addition, the InfoGuard management will also participate in the renowned Swiss expert for cyber security. In addition to Thomas Meier, the Executive Board will continue to consist of long-time members Stefan Thomann, Franco Cerminara, Ricardo Balseiro and Ernesto Hartmann, as well as the recently appointed CFO, Raphael Kugler. Thomas Meier is convinced: "With the new ownership structure, InfoGuard can further develop its successful position as a cyber security expert and ensure sustainable growth. This will allow us to adapt to changing market needs in an even more targeted and efficient manner and provide our customers with optimal support."
