It-sa: Mecca of IT security
In a few days, the IT security trade fair it-sa opens its doors in Nuremberg. An extensive supporting program is also on offer.
Nuremberg is satisfied, over 700 Exhibitor, including more than ten companies from Switzerland, will present their cybersecurity products and services from October 9 to 11. Numerous bookings from new exhibitors, larger stand areas and high demand from young companies ensure that the booked area of the it-sa higher than in 2017, as the organizers of NürnbergMesse emphasize.
There are also international joint stands on site: Israel in Hall 9, the Netherlands in Hall 10.0 and the Czech Republic in Hall 10.1 will showcase their IT security industries. According to the organizers, exhibitors from around 25 countries are at this dialog platform for cyber security.
Extensive supporting program
The trade fair will be accompanied by a Supporting program with a total of around 350 specialist contributions. The M9 and M10 forums will focus on setting the strategic course for raising the level of IT security, while the T9 and T10 forums are aimed at technically oriented users. Forum I10 will also host the special keynote address by world-renowned IT security expert Paula Januszkiewicz on the third day of the fair. She will show how companies and organizations can protect themselves against common forms of attack by hackers and cybercriminals. Product-neutral discussions and contributions on overarching topics will once again be featured separately as it-sa insights; international and national associations will participate in this forum. The congress program already starts on Monday, October 8, one day before the opening of the trade show.
The symposium "VIS!T - Administration Integrates Secure Information Technology" is new. The symposium takes place every two years at changing locations and offers IT security experts from the administration in DACH countries their own dialog platform for the cross-national exchange of experiences.
Opportunity for start-ups
New events in the supporting program underline the relevance of it-sa as a platform for intensive exchange on the topic of cyber security: UP18@it-sa offers start-ups from Germany, Austria and Switzerland a stage on which they can convince decision-makers from the industry and potential financiers. Promising business ideas and innovative security products, selected in advance by a jury, will take center stage on Monday, October 8.
IT Security Award
The prestigious German IT Security Award of the Horst Görtz Foundation will be presented for the first time at it-sa. The ten finalists will first present their innovations in the forum program on Tuesday, October 9, before the three winners are chosen in a festive awards ceremony. The German IT Security Award is being awarded for the seventh time and is endowed with a total of 200,000 euros.
