"Light + Building" shows security systems
"Networked - Safe - Convenient" is the motto of "Light + Building" in Frankfurt am Main. This time, the trade event also focuses on the topic of safety technology.

With new thematic focuses, a new special show and an additional hall level, the world's leading trade fair "Light + Building 2018" from 18 to 23 March at the start. Around 2600 exhibitors are expected. The industry shows at the world's largest trade fair for lighting and building technology intelligent and networked solutions, but also forward-looking technologies that increase the building economy, but also the comfort and safety needs of users.
Integration of various safety systems
One focus of the 2018 event will be on the topic of security technology. The integration of various security systems such as video surveillance or access control, their networking and integration into technical building automation are essential aspects that interest both the industry and users. Thus, the competence of the product areas home and building automation as well as power-operated security technology will be bundled in Hall 9.1 for the first time at "Light + Building 2018". This will result in a joint contact point, a center of integrated building technology, which will offer visitors an all-round overview of the entire spectrum of home and building automation as well as electrical security technology.
Special show and "Intersec Forum
The new hall level will be enriched with the special show "SECURE! Connected Security in Buildings" and the "Intersec Forum", which will be held in parallel over four days from March 19 to 22, 2018. The special show will teach visitors how innovative technical solutions can increase the cost-effectiveness of a building and take into account security requirements and the individual needs of users. In distinction to the presentations of the exhibitors, all tasks, from the perspective of security and user interfaces, would be merged into one unit on the basis of three concrete uses (hotel, office, industry), let the organizers know.
Safety technology will also be on display in other halls at the exhibition center. A "Guide to Safety Technology" brochure will provide visitors with a quick overview of the entire range on offer.
