With vital value measurement against burnout?

Stress sufferers are to learn how to cope better with stressful situations thanks to an intelligent chest strap.

Detect stress before it's too late - heart rate variability should tell.

How stressed am I actually in everyday life? What influences my stress level?

Anyone who wants to answer these questions can do so in the future with a new gadget - and should even prevent burnout in the long term.

The Vital Monitor from the Austrian startup Pulse7 uses a chest strap to measure the ECG and calculate heart rate variability (HRV). This is the human organism's ability to change the frequency of its heart rhythm - for example, to beat faster during exertion.

The user measures his current HRV in the morning. The measurement can be repeated several times a day. An app and a web tool analyze the data and calculate the current state of regeneration, the stress level and the individual biological age.

A one-time measurement is not yet very meaningful, because whether values are good or bad depends primarily on the individual. But if the measurements are taken over a longer period of time, the result is a longer-term trend that can be very meaningful, according to the company.

The user should thus be able to recognize overload situations and learn to counteract his increased stress level in good time - for example with a short walk or relaxation exercises.
