New role models in occupational safety and health sought
The award, for the application phase for the German Occupational Safety and Health Award 2019, is the major cross-industry award for exemplary technical, strategic, organizational and cultural solutions around safety and health at work.
The German Occupational Safety and Health Award recognizes companies of all sizes and sectors based in Germany, as well as individuals, who show a particular commitment to safety and health at work. The award shows ways to deal proactively and effectively with the challenges around Safety and health at work. The focus is on the message that systematic occupational safety and health protection pay off. They protect employees and thus secure the company's competitiveness. In 2019, exemplary solutions that have been developed and implemented will be honored in five categories: From far-reaching management solutions to creative and innovative solutions at the plant level, from behavior- and relationship-changing measures to measures that address the protection, safety and health of individuals. One start-up company will receive an additional foundation award from Messe Düsseldorf.
The German Occupational Safety and Health Award 2019 will be presented at a festive award ceremony on November 5, 2019 at the Trade fair A+A in Düsseldorf (Germany). The entries will be judged by an independent jury of experts comprising personalities from business, politics, associations and science. In total, there is prize money worth 50,000 euros up for grabs.
The German Occupational Safety Award is part of the Joint German Occupational Safety Strategy (GDA). Within the GDA, the German Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs (BMAS), the Länder Committee for Occupational Health and Safety and Safety Technology (LASI) and the German Social Accident Insurance (DGUV) their activities in the field of occupational safety and health. They jointly organize the German Occupational Safety Award.
The official media partner of the German Occupational Safety and Health Award is Messe Düsseldorf. As a long-standing organizer of A+A, Messe Düsseldorf supports the objectives of the organizers in the area of award and event communication around the topic of safety and health at work.
