Daniel Galsterer holds a doctorate in materials science, as the Swiss Safety Center writes. In his professional career, he has expanded his expertise in damage and material analysis and corrosion in various industrial sectors, including medical technology and aerospace. In addition to his technical and project expertise, he has also gained leadership skills in various managerial roles, e.g. as Head of Materials Testing NDT (Non Destructive Testing) and DT (Destructive Testing). As Head of Innovation, he also founded the Industrial Computed Tomography division of today's Eurofins Qualitech and worked as Head of Quality Management and in Business Development MedTech.

The Swiss Safety Center emphasizes his excellent networking in Swiss professional circles, which he owes to his many years of work in the industry and his secondary activities as head of the expert commission for radiographic testing (RT) and test supervision (RT) of the Swiss Society for Non-Destructive Testing (SGZP).

Responsible for the test laboratory

In his new role, he is responsible for the Swiss Safety Center's testing laboratory, whose core competence lies in the field of materials testing and damage analysis of primarily metallic materials. His aim is to expand the range of services in terms of advanced NDT: on the one hand, by expanding digital radiography to include computed tomography and, on the other, by using and combining the NDT services of the entire SVTI Group.

"I see the testing laboratory as a competence center and partner for individual tests and material technology reports through to comprehensive quality assurance for customers from a wide range of industries, both nationally and internationally," says Daniel Galsterer, Head of Materials Technology.
