What's new in security 2017?
In just under a year it will take place again: the Security Trade Fair 2017 in Zurich-Oerlikon. As always, the event will be accompanied by the Security Congress. This time with a small but important change.
Alternating with Sécurity in Lausanne, Security 2017 will be held next year (November 14-17).
Trade congress is completely integrated
In terms of numbers, the Trade congress within the framework of Safety 2017 is quickly told: 12 half-day modules with around 70 speakers; around 1000 visitors are expected.
What is new is that the trade congress will be completely integrated into the trade show. This will make it possible to better meet the needs of visitors and exhibitors, writes trade fair organizer Exhibit & More AG. The trade congress will be integrated into a "room-within-a-room concept" in Halls 3 and 5. In addition, the exhibition center, which is run by the Save Inc. organized program so that there is more time for the combined visit of the congress and the trade fair.
According to the organizer, these changes mean that the "Forum blue" in Hall 3 and the "Forum red" in Hall 5 will now offer a total of only twelve half-day modules on various risk management, safety and fire protection topics. Details of the program will be available from June 2017.
Innovation park and other more
Not only the accompanying trade congress features a novelty, but also the trade fair itself will be enriched by a few new aspects:
"History Tunnel"It is a short journey back in time to the past of the security industry. Because: "If you don't know the past, you can't understand the present." The "History Tunnel" at Security 2017 is intended to show visitors the developments, the processes from the original dangers and risks to the most current solutions in an exemplary way, as the organizers write. This also paves the way to their booth, the organizers let exhibitors know. With the concept "time travel" the exhibitor can provide the visitor with additional information about his company and his products.
This journey through time will answer questions such as "Who invented the door lock and why? What are the current big sellers in burglar protection? Does the future belong to the fingerprint?" From A for alarm system to Z for access control: every product, every service in the security industry tells its story in the "History Tunnel." This helps to promote understanding for the security solutions of the present.
IPS - Innovation Park SecurityThe Swiss security industry needs a suitable platform for innovations. Only in this way can it meet the increasing demands and requirements, writes the organizer. For this reason, a "Security Innovation Park" is being planned for the first time. A platform where not only ideas are presented, but also direct contacts can be established between "innovators" and professionals in the security industry - to exhibitors, trade fair visitors as well as participants of the trade congress, according to the statement. The motto for the IPS is "If you don't understand the present, you can't shape the future."
Thought Islands: "How can we protect our children even better from violence in the future? " "How will the building of tomorrow be constructed so that fire no longer has a chance?" The various "thought islands" are intended to provide ideas on these and other topics - active participation by visitors is encouraged. Because who knows, maybe a decisive solution for the future will emerge from one or the other train of thought.
In 2017, Safety will again be supported by the most important Swiss industry associations. For more information on the trade event: www.sicherheit-messe.ch
