Public manhunt
The public prosecutor's office and the Zurich city police are publishing pixelated images of a man suspected of robbing and sexually assaulting a 26-year-old woman in an S-Bahn train at the beginning of March 2015. Since in the meantime all police means to identify the man have been exhausted without success, the unknown man is now being sought publicly, the media release says.
The wanted man boarded the Regio Express 4915 in Schaffhausen shortly before 8:40 a.m. on Sunday, March 8, 2015, traveling from Schaffhausen to Zurich main station. In Bülach, the later victim, a 26-year-old Swiss woman, also boarded the Regio Express at 08:58. At Zurich-Oerlikon station, both left the train at 09.14 and boarded the S-2 train bound for Zurich Airport shortly before 09.20. Video footage shows how the unknown man pushed the woman into the train toilet there during the journey. When the train stopped at Zurich Airport, the unknown man left the train. The woman filed a complaint with the Zurich city police the next day and stated during police questioning that the man had sexually assaulted her there and robbed her of her valuables.
Based on video images and statements of the victim, the unknown person can be described as follows:
Approx. 20-30 years old, approx. 180-185 cm tall, strong, athletic build, fair complexion, dark short hair, was unshaven, wore a light-colored jacket with a faux fur-trimmed hood and a conspicuous, triangular, unknown, dark emblem on the left sleeve. Underneath, he wore a brown hoodie, blue or turquoise pants, and dark shoes. The man was carrying a smaller, blue backpack with a light-colored "Peugeot logo" (lion).
After all police means to identify the man have been exhausted unsuccessfully in the meantime, the unknown man is now being publicly sought. Provided that no one comes forward in response to the publication, the unpixelated images of the suspect will be published on Tuesday, September 15, 2015, for wanted purposes.

October 16, 2015, addendum to this messageOn September 15, the unpixilated photos were sent to the media and partially published. After that, several tips from Switzerland and abroad on the wanted person were received, writes the media service of the Zurich city police on October 16. For the clarifications abroad corresponding legal assistance requests are necessary. Therefore, the investigation would probably continue for some time. In the meantime, the pictures of the unknown person have been taken off the net, according to the Zurich police.
