Oeschger Fire Protection new to the Securitas Group
With the acquisition of Oeschger Brandschutz AG in Zug at the beginning of October 2017, the Securitas Group is further expanding the strategic business area "Extinguishing Systems". Oeschger is active in the sprinkler market and in technical fire protection.
"I am very pleased that we have been able to work with the Securitas Group we have found a strong partner with whom we can expand our core business in a forward-looking way," explains Walter Oeschger, the previous main shareholder of Oeschger Fire Protection AG. He remains Chairman of the Board of Directors and will continue to contribute his many years of expertise.
Joel Schmid will continue to lead Oeschger Brandschutz AG operationally as CEO, the press release continues. Schmid sees the sale to the Securitas Group as a strengthening of the company's competitive position: "I am very pleased to have a very competent partner at my side in the new constellation with the Securitas Group, a leader in fire protection. This allows us to ensure consistency in our core business as well."
Lauric Barbier, member of the Securitas Group Management Board, was appointed to the Board of Directors of Oeschger Brandschutz AG and in this function also coordinates activities with the other Group companies in the "Extinguishing Systems" business area: Babberger AG, Contrafeu AG and Viansone AG.
