Personnel changes in the SES Board

The Association of Swiss Installers of Security Systems (SES) held its general meeting in Pfäffikon SZ on May 21, 2019. Two resignations from the board have to be reported.

Two veteran gentlemen in the SES-Bruno Steiner is a veteran of the security industry and has been a member of the association for over 40 years. He is one of the founding fathers of his company BSW Security. Steiner joined SES in 1977, which was founded in 1972 as the Association of Swiss Manufacturers of Fire Alarm Systems. SES President Peter Nebiker paid tribute to the long-standing member, saying Steiner had accompanied and helped shape almost the entire history of the association. With his know-how, he particularly shaped the work in the Technical Working Committee for Fire Alarm Systems (TAK BMA) in the SES. Steiner has resigned from TAK BMA, his successor is René Häcki, also from the company BSW.

Guido Portmann also resigns

Vice President Guido Portmann (Securiton) has also stepped down from the Board. He had been a member of the board since 2004, including several years as president. Nebiker praised Portmann's work in the SES as extremely commendable, as he had been an important driver of the training area. The continuing education Project Manager Safety Engineeringwhich the association offered for the first time in 2009, is extremely popular. Every year, the association is able to present various federal certificates of proficiency to its young professionals.

The newly elected members of the SES Board are Jim Steiner (BSW Security) and Martin Altorfer (Securiton), who becomes Vice President. Peter Nebiker was confirmed as SES President with applause.

96 SES members

The number of members in the SES association is currently 96 installers, product suppliers, planners and authorities. In the 2018-2019 association year, eight new members joined and five left.  (rs)
