Powertage and Suisse Public postponed
The Power Days in Zurich and Suisse Public in Bern also fall victim to the Corona virus and are postponed.
The meetings originally planned for June Power Days will be postponed. This meeting place for the Swiss electricity industry will now be held in the halls of Messe Zürich from December 1 to 3, 2020. This was announced today by MCH Swiss Exhibition (Basel) Ltd. via its communications agency.
Suisse Public not until 2021
The planned for June Suisse Public in Bern will be postponed to next year and will take place from June 8 to 11, 2021. Under the current circumstances, the conditions from a health and economic point of view for a successful implementation of the fair in June this year are not met, writes Bernexpo Groupe. Due to the complexity of the exhibition and in the context of the international exhibition calendar, a postponement in the current year is also not realistic. This decision creates planning security for all parties involved and ensures that the trade fair can be rescheduled in good time and perform its function as an important source of impetus for the public sector in its usual strength in June 2021.
Suisse Public Smart will take place this year
The Suisse Public Smart trade fair format, planned for the first time as part of Suisse Public, will be launched with an adapted concept and digital offering following this year's General Assembly of the Swiss Association of Municipalities, according to Bernexpo. The event will be launched digitally or physically, depending on how the coronavirus crisis develops, organizers said. With Suisse Public Smart, they will create a platform that refers to the challenges of the municipalities in this extraordinary situation.
In 2021, "Smart" will then be part of the Suisse Public trade fair as planned: This new format is divided into six "smart" areas: Governance (IT e-government), Mobility including drones, Environment (energy, facility, infrastructure, etc.), Smart People (work, education, health, participation) and Economy (planning, research, best practice) and finally Smart Village: this is also where security in public spaces is located.
