Recall of children's sleeping bag "Forclaz 10° Junior
In voluntary cooperation with the bfu - Swiss Council for Accident Prevention, Decathlon S.A. recalls the children's sleeping bag "Forclaz 10° Junior". There is a certain risk of strangulation.
Affected customers can repair the sleeping bag themselves, have it repaired by Decathlon S.A., exchange it or have the purchase price refunded.
What is the danger posed by the affected products?
The cord of the sleeping bag could wrap around the neck of the child, which could lead to strangulation. So far, there have been no accidents. A potential risk was reported by three independent persons, which is why the Decathlon S.A. has decided to recall the affected sleeping bags as a precaution.
Which products are affected?
Affected is the children's sleeping bag "Forclaz 10° Junior" in the colors
- blue (item number 1783981),
- red (item number 1783983),
- green (item number 2021660) and
- red (item number 2021659).
What should affected consumers do?
Customers are asked to stop using the affected products. You have four options:
- Remove the cord from the sleeping bag itself. Video tutorial
- Exchange the sleeping bag at a Decathlon store (subject to availability).
- Have the cord removed at the Decathlon store.
- Return the sleeping bag to a Decathlon store for a refund.
