Together, they offer state-of-the-art solutions for smart access control, ticketing,
Identity management and electronic locking technology. Today, Salto technologies can be found in over 100,000 installations, at 10 million access points and provide secure access to more than 40 million people every day. With over 1,850 employees worldwide, Salto stands for continuous innovation and user-centered design, making it a reliable partner for numerous industries.
The invention of the Salto Virtual Network (SVN) in 2002 was the first decisive technological milestone that made secure and highly functional virtual networking of access points possible for the first time. As early as 2008, Salto presented Salto Wireless, the first radio network for wireless real-time access control.
Access control. In 2014, Clay by Salto (now Salto KS) became one of the first access providers to move into the cloud, followed just one year later by JustIN Mobile, one of the world's first technologies for mobile access. The latest innovations are the XS4 Face solutions for highly secure and convenient facial recognition with mobile user registration and the comprehensive ID management system Salto IDM, which were launched in 2025. At the same time, new product series and functional upgrades were continuously added to the hardware portfolio.
