The new safety guidelines just published by the Association of Swiss Installers of Safety Systems (SES) published figures show that the year 2018 compared to 2017 turned out better. Reported total sales rose from CHF 695.8 million to over CHF 723 million. This even exceeds the result for the year 2016 surpassed.

Voice alarm systems counted for the first time

If you take a closer look, you will notice that in 2018, for the first time, the values collected from the members in the area of voice alarm systems (SAA) were also counted. Of the plus of a good 27.5 million francs, 11 million francs resulted from the SAA sector, as the association emphasizes.

A massive jump of 14 million francs was reported for fire alarm systems. The area of intrusion detection systems continues to follow the downward trend of 2017 and again recorded a massive decline of 5% (previous year: -3.5%). In contrast, access control closed with a plus of 4% and video security even with a plus of 6.5%.

Requirements for the SES members

The SES association comprises the leading companies in this industry in Switzerland. All SES members undertake to comply with a wide range of quality criteria and safety standards. They are among the specialized companies recognized by the Association of Cantonal Fire Insurers (VKF) and/or certified according to SES guidelines. In addition, the Security Section also includes proven installers of access control (AC) and video surveillance systems (Videosecurity, VS).
