Securitas presents deployment statistics

The Securitas Group has presented its latest deployment statistics. According to the statistics, the security service provider's employees reported security-related measures 5,407,405 times nationwide in 2016 (2015: 5.21 million), the provider writes.

Compared with the previous year's figures, the latest deployment statistics show, for example, that the Securitas Group team has also made Switzerland a little quieter and cleaner: For example, 829 more noise polluters were reminded to be quiet (2016: 3,155 total) and 1,385 more littering cases were reported (2016: 5,079). The security service provider had also helped to save electricity: For example, thanks to Securitas intervention, a total of 14,010 more lights were switched off (2016: 1.71 million).

With its technological expertise in alarm and security systems, the company is also able to offer security from a single source around the clock, 365 days a year. The security service provider illustrates this by means of its Statistics:

  • Immediate alerting (police: 1,761), (fire department: 418), (ambulance: 754), (customers: 2,065)
  • Observe and intervene: 355'337 telephone messages mediated (intervened on alarms, video images remotely monitored, etc.)
  • Protection against fire and water damage: 820 fires extinguished by the company itself, 224,479 fire-prevention measures taken, 12,453 open water taps shut off
  • Protection against theft: 259,207 building entrances closed, 1,553 keys recovered that had been stuck
  • 31,829 Unauthorized persons turned away
  • 129,232 persons controlled
  • 7,766 defective street lights reported
  • Ensured clear escape routes 2,888 times
  • etc.
