Securitas publishes performance statistics
Last year, Securitas AG employees reported more than 4.1 million security-related measures nationwide. A look at the company's performance statistics.
For over 111 years, Securitas AG has been actively contributing to ensuring that the economic and living environment in Switzerland remains secure. Society also perceives this to be the case, as a survey conducted by the Swiss Confederation (DDPS) in conjunction with the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) revealed. When asked which state or private organizations contribute to internal security in Switzerland, 62 percent of respondents mentioned Securitas by name - twice as many as the police in second place.
The company's annual performance statistics provide an insight into the activities of Securitas. For example, employees nationwide reported 4,171,396 security-related measures. A few selected figures from the current statistics:
- Instant alert: (police: 1,312), (fire department: 396), (ambulance: 1,329), (customers: 7,077)
- Observe and intervene: 300'886 telephone messages mediated (intervened on alarms, remotely monitored video images, etc.)
- Protection against fire and water damage: 234,846 appliances/motors switched off, 1,528 floods and water ingresses reported, 1,041 fires self-extinguished, 166,031 fire prevention measures taken, 9,516 open water taps closed
- Protection against theft: 235,717 building entrances closed, 1,038 keys seized, 583,313 interior doors closed
- 15,390 Alarm systems armed
- 26,361 Malfunctions reported on technical equipment
- Ensured clear escape routes 2,832 times
- 30,718 Unauthorized persons turned away
- 1,596 people handed over to the police
- 91,213 persons controlled (private land)
