Sécurité Lausanne was a success

The Sécurité Lausanne 2016 fulfilled the high expectations in every respect, as Exhibit & More AG emphasizes. From November 2 to 4, 2016, the entire spectrum of products and services of the security industry in western Switzerland was on display at Expo Beaulieu in Lausanne. 75 exhibitors, associations and publishers presented their offerings on a net area of around 1,500 square meters and, with 2,313 visitors, there were 14 percent more than two years ago.

Renowned and appreciated

Thanks to a comprehensive all-round view and the broad recognition of the industry, Sécurité Lausanne has long since become a must-attend event for security experts in Western Switzerland, emphasizes the exhibition management. In addition, the trade fair is also a valued knowledge platform, it adds. "After the great success of the last editions, expectations were naturally very high," says Exhibition Director Heinz Salzgeber. "We are all the more pleased about the strong increase in visitors and the many positive feedbacks from exhibitors and visitors. They confirm to us: we have arrived in French-speaking Switzerland and the market wants and needs Sécurité Lausanne."

Quantity and quality of visitors

"We had a lot of visitors at the booth, including very good contacts and many new customers. That's exactly how it should be," says José-Luis Mamolar from Motcom Communications AG. Pierre Abramowski from Aprotec sums up, "The trade fair, the infrastructure, the contacts, everything was perfect. We are very satisfied." Attending Sécurité Lausanne for the first time, but certainly not for the last, was Pascal Thür from Rotronic Secomp AG. "It was worth it, we had a successful and nice week in Western Switzerland. We will be back," he says.

Jürg Fehlbaum, Schärer+Kunz AG praises the size of the trade fair and the quality of the contacts: "Our expectations were clearly exceeded. Precisely because the trade fair is still clearly structured, visitors can take their time and gain a comprehensive overview of the market in one day. And the accompanying Forum Sécurité ensures that the right visitors come to the exhibition."

Exchange and knowledge transfer

The Forum Sécurité with exciting technical information attracted the audience in masses. On the second day of the trade fair, the audience almost exceeded capacity, with more than 500 participants being inspired during the presentations on the topics of natural hazards, fire protection and big data alone, as the organizers proudly emphasize. In total, around 1,000 experts attended the Forum Sécurité 2016. This success is no coincidence. The presentations were free of charge, but neutrally prepared, of high quality and offered a lot of useful know-how for the daily work of security professionals. The topics are always well chosen and, thanks to the division into half-day modules, it is possible to attend both the forum and the trade fair in one day. The broad support and recognition of the Forum by a wide range of industry associations would also contribute a lot to its success.

Conclusion and outlook 

The Sécurité Lausanne has underlined its high importance for Western Switzerland and enjoys the full recognition of the industry. The fifth edition, Sécurité Lausanne 2018, will take place in late fall 2018, according to information. The exact date will be published shortly.

Next year, the Swiss security industry will meet in Zurich: at the Security 2017 from 14 to 17 November 2017.
