Security Essen 2020 will be cancelled

Security Essen 2020 will not take place for another two years. Against the background of the unchanged dynamic situation and the worldwide travel restrictions, there is currently not the planning certainty necessary for the serious preparation of all trade fair participants, emphasize the organizers of the Security Essen. The customer expectations as well as the performance promise of the international trade fair of the security industry cannot be fulfilled under the given circumstances. In close coordination with the partner associations, the decision for the cancellation was therefore made, according to those responsible.

"The cancellation of the trade event in Essen is the result of a prudent and careful assessment of the current situation, which we have undertaken together"says Norbert Schaaf from the BHE Federal Association for Safety Technology and Chairman of the Security Essen Advisory Board.

"This important international trade fair for the security industry is an absolute highlight for ASW every other year," says Christian Endress, Managing Director ASW Federal Association and member of the trade show advisory board. The cancellation of this year's edition hit the industry and the security associations hard. According to Endress, they regret the decision, but they also fully understand it and look forward with confidence to the security year 2022.

The next Security Essen will take place from 20 - 23 September 2022 will take place at Messe Essen.
