Security Essen eagerly awaits the start of the fair
The security industry is currently experiencing a growth spurt. Access control and video security are on the advance. After a break due to the pandemic, Security Essen can start again this year as a presence event from September 20 to 23.
The security industry is not only in Switzerland in growth. So reports The German Security Industry Association (BDSW), for example, also reported an estimated four percent increase in sales to 9.21 billion euros. Access control systems and video security technology, for example, grew particularly strongly in the German market.
This trend has been further accelerated by the rise in home-based work, which is also fuelling the IT security market. The protection of highly sensitive areas such as hospitals, pharmaceutical companies and vaccination centers has also become more relevant. The need of the security industry to be able to meet and exchange ideas in person again therefore appears to be unbrokenly high. The prerequisites for Messe Essen are therefore definitely given. Thus, after a pandemic-related break, the security fair from September 20 to 23, 2022, is again to encourage personal exchange with a top-class program.
Around 500 exhibitors are expected at the relaunch, around half of them from abroad. The trade fair concept stands for "short distances", direct talks and "intensive professional contacts", trade fair project manager Julia Jacob is quoted as saying in a press release. The trade fair is rounded off by a target group-specific supporting program. For example, the "Digital Networking Security Congress" will be a special focus. The congress will highlight the topics of security in networks, IT security and cyber threats. A fire protection forum and special tours for architects and planners are also planned.
Versatile alignment
Security Essen is the meeting place of the international security industry and takes place in the modernized grounds of Messe Essen. The event is divided into the subject areas "Services"; Access, Mechatronics, Mechanics and Systems; Perimeter; Video, Fire, Intrusion and Systems as well as Digital Networking Security.
At the new Digital Networking Security Conference in Hall 7, experts will talk about current incidents, legal requirements and practical implementation examples on the first two days of the trade fair. The agenda includes presentations on DDoS attacks via IoT devices, next level security awareness and secure cloud applications.
In the "Security Experts" forum, exhibitors present new products every day and provide insight into their practical experience. In Hall 7, there is information on fire protection and fire fighting. Ten presentations from September 22-23, 2022 are, for example, "New technologies and innovations in fire protection" or "Fire protection in IT basic protection".
