Security goes digital
Digitalization has also found its way into the field of security planning and technology. This brings numerous advantages and facilitations, but also new risks. On April 3, 2019, the symposium "Security goes digital" will examine the topic from different and controversial perspectives.
The economy and society are undergoing fundamental changes due to the influence of digitization. Just a few years ago, i.e. after the replacement of isolated security systems, "Security over IP" was the big hype topic. Now the next milestones are on the horizon. This affects digitization in the construction and technical areas as well as in organizational measures. In recent years, Building Information Modeling (BIM) has added another dimension to the planning and operating phases.
The April 3 meeting will focus on the following topics, among others (see program):
- Is the digitalization and BIM euphoria justified? What advantages does digitization actually bring?
- Are physical security measures an outdated model?
- Where are the potential stumbling blocks and hurdles?
- How do we control the flood of data?
- Can the technology already do more than is even useful in practice?
- How do we deal with changed processes and procedures in the company?
- Do we benefit from new business models and technologies?
- Will AI help us in the area of security or will AI become an uncontrollable risk?
- Is end-to-end digital networking still tangible or is it becoming an intangible risk?
- What new dependencies arise? Can these still be controlled?
- Digitization and Smart Data: Does the data transfer from planning to operation for maintenance and repair work?
- What does the near future hold for us? Clear and unembellished insights into the current situation but also future perspectives are conveyed.
Practical experiences of the last years round up the conference in Zurich organized by Save AG (further information here).
