The winners of the Security Innovation Award 2018 at the world's leading trade fair Security Essen.

The jury selected the most innovative solutions from a total of 75 entries in the categories "Services," "Cyber Security/Business Protection" and "Technology & Products. All submissions to the sixth edition of the Security Innovation Awards were judged according to the criteria of innovative content, user benefits, cost-effectiveness, reliability and reasonableness.

Category Technology & Products

Gold Award; UrbanAlps AG, Zurich, with its "Stealth Key" solution: 3D scanners and printers can also be used to copy high-security keys. This poses a threat to businesses and buildings. Because with a copied key, access is then gained without traces and without evidence of a criminal act for the insurance company. UrbanAlps relies on a new solution: "Stealth Key", the world's first 3D metal print key, is built from the inside out and hides the security codes - a completely new level in key copy protection.

Silver Award; Jansen Tore with "Burglary protection sectional door WK5": The security solution can be used to reliably secure buildings with inventory that is particularly worthy of protection. The innovative and tested door construction is characterized by a massively reinforced door leaf with additional security components. Burglary attempts by experienced perpetrators can be safely repelled according to WK5 classification. The gates are suitable, for example, for the protection of museums, valuables depots, hazardous materials warehouses as well as military and government headquarters.

Bronze Award; 360 Vision Technology with "Radar controlled CCTV Surveillance Camera": Predator Radar is a high-definition auto-tracking PTZ camera controlled by a 360° radar with a 200 meter radius at one revolution per second. New to it: its ability to simultaneously identify multiple objects as small as 50 centimeters across an area of 125,000 square meters. 4G data transfer and the option for fuel, battery or solar power ensure that the Predator Radar can be deployed both permanently and flexibly without the need for an existing surveillance infrastructure - a true geofencing solution.

Services category

Gold Award; Kötter Security with emergency call and service control center: Setting standards in security and digitalization was the goal of a multi-million investment in the high-tech control center at Kötter Security. In addition to the standards to be met, the company has redundantly secured all technical systems and consistently digitized the processes from alarm reception to alarm processing and the execution of operational intervention and ultimately to informing the customer.

Silver Award; Amaryllo International with "Soteria": unlike conventional methods that require an expensive computer for video analytics, the solution provides AI security service as well as real-time customer analytics such as headcounting, hot zone, gender and age recognition, etc. without any prior investment in hardware.

Category Cyber-Security/Business Protection

Gold AwardM; innogy SE with "Cyber Security Maturity Cockpit (CSMC)": The CSMC measures the maturity and effectiveness as well as the costs/benefits of cyber security measures based on ISO 27001. It shows options for action and priorities for risk minimization as well as successes in a target group-oriented manner. The tool creates maximum transparency and enables decision-makers to make optimal use of monetary and human resources.

Special price: ip.access with "Presence for Safe Cities": The application is a cost-effective ambient mobile phone detection system optimized for use in border and property protection. Based on "presenceSensor", "Presence for Safe Cities" collects information and location data from mobile users in the vicinity of sensitive areas. This data can be combined with other data sources to provide meaningful, actionable information to government agencies. This provides security measures with deeper information density.
