SES: Annual General Meeting with good prospects
At this year's annual meeting, the members of the SES association once again discussed current projects.

"We are incredibly lucky to live here in a safe Switzerland and that is also thanks to you," said Association President Martin Altorfer, welcoming the members to the annual meeting at Casino Zug. 122 participants from 56 member companies from both the Fire and Security sections of the association came together to discuss their work and news from their sector.
Fire protection regulations 2026
One major topic was the 2026 fire safety regulations (BSV). All of the Fire Section's specialist committees are involved in drafting the new regulations. Once BSV 2026 has been completed, the SES will update its own guidelines to ensure the correct technical implementation of BSV 2026 in practice. It will also integrate the changes into its specialist training courses and thus support specialists in Switzerland in the correct application of BSV 2026 and the SES guidelines.
Training vision 2024
The training vision 2024 also continues to occupy the expert commissions. The aim of the vision is to adapt the Project Manager Security Systems course with a federal certificate to the current needs and requirements of SERI. Five workshops were held in 2023 to revise the examination regulations and guidelines. "The content and legal quality assurance of the examination regulations and guidelines is currently being carried out by SERI. As soon as the documents have been approved, the new training documents will be created. We are currently assuming that we will be able to start the new training in fall 2025," explains Altorfer.

Digitization
As part of the digitalization of the SES Association, teamraum.sicher-ses.ch was replaced by Microsoft Sharepoint. This new platform should make collaboration within the association even more efficient in future and further optimize joint work processes. The SES homepage was also updated at the same time. On this occasion, the association's website was also rebranded and presented for the first time at Swissbau.
Cooperations
Cooperation with other stakeholder groups remains important for safeguarding the interests of the SES Association and the Swiss security industry. To this end, the association maintains active relationships with various institutions in the Swiss security landscape. With this in mind, various working meetings were held with partner associations in the past association year. In addition, the SES Association took part in Swissbau for the first time with its own stand and was able to look back on a successful trade fair with numerous contacts with existing members and interested parties.
Building Information Modeling
The topic of Building Information Modeling (BIM) was previously dealt with by a working group. This is now being transferred to a specialist commission, with the remit being expanded.
Elections
The association members unanimously confirmed President Martin Altorfer in office. Fabian Maissen (Zentex Brandschutz AG) and Stefan Ammann (Dormakaba) were also re-elected to the Board without dissenting votes.
The members' meeting ended on the MS Rigi with a barbecue, good conversation and great views.
