SES honors numerous junior employees
Never before have so many young professionals completed the advanced training course "Project Manager Security Systems". The Swiss Association of Security System Installers (SES) and the Winterthur Technical College (STFW) were able to present 28 professionals with the coveted diploma.
Jannick Guler (24) has had his "Project Manager for Security Systems" certificate in his pocket for a few days now. This enables him to manage security projects from planning to operation. Guler is employed by a SES-member company. The management of the company, which specializes in safety technology, advised him to complete the course. Yes, you have to show commitment during the in-service training. But the effort is feasible and worthwhile, says the systems engineer. Thanks to the knowledge he has acquired, he will be able to join the project management team at his employer next year. A promotion begins!
Congratulated 28 times - a record
Like Jannick Guler, 27 other professionals - females are missing in the discipline of security or fire - have completed the specialized training. The Training is offered by the Association of Swiss Installers of Security Systems (SES) in cooperation with the Technical College Winterthur (STFW). With 28 graduates, the SES and the STFW training facility can report a record participation in the tenth course. SES President Peter Nebiker and his colleagues from the SES Education Commission and the STFW Technical College are pleased about this. On February 6, 2020, at the Zunfthaus zur Saffran in Zurich, they were able to present the young professionals with the coveted diploma, the Federal Certificate of Competence "Project Manager Security Systems". Nebiker congratulated them for their achievement and thanked their girlfriends for their consideration and for temporarily giving up their partner. Nebiker urged the successful graduates to take time in their day-to-day work - especially in fast-moving times - to keep an eye on the big picture, which is important for project managers. He also advised the young professionals to remain well networked, but also agile. The latter is important because the security industry is always subject to major changes.
