Secure transmission of wage data

Swissdec, the association for digital salary data transmission, recently launched its "Swissdec Campaign 2016+".

It is the most important project of the association this year: the ≪Swissdec Campaign 2016+≫. It is intended to contribute to the further dissemination of the ≪Wage Standard-CH≫. The campaign is aimed specifically at SMEs. For small companies in particular, the transmission of wage data to the various authorities and accident insurers involves considerable effort. This is where the campaign comes in. Swissdec wants to convince SMEs of the advantage of switching to electronic wage data reporting (ELM). The software, which is certified by the association, enables the simple and secure transmission of wage data to the various data recipients such as the tax administration, accident insurers or compensation funds. Version 4.0 also integrates withholding tax.

More and more companies are converting

According to the association, more and more companies are switching to digital transmission. From April 1, 2015, to the end of March 2016, there were already 85,000 wage reports (same period last year: 65,000). Swissdec is a non-profit association and at the same time a quality standard for accounting programs, as CEO Ernst Stalder writes. In addition to the Federal Statistical Office, Swissdec members also include eAHV/IV (cf. www.eahv-iv.ch), the Swiss Insurance Association and the Swiss Tax Conference. The accident insurance company Suva is also a member of the association and runs its office.
