Security & Ineltec: A new home for failed trade fair duo
The recently cancelled exhibition duo Security and Ineltec has moved the industry. Affected companies have knocked on the MCH Group's door and expressed an interest in alternative possibilities, writes the organizer. Swissbau 2020 offers the security sector and building technology an interdisciplinary business platform.
In recent weeks, talks had been held with relevant representatives of the companies affected by the Cancellation security and the Ineltec affected sectors, writes the MCH Group, underlining that "there had already been overlaps for some time in the three exhibition offerings in the sectors of building automation, energy in buildings, lighting and lighting technology, and building security." Now these sectors would be combined in the Swissbau (January 14-18, 2020) is extended.
Ideal platform for building security
Swissbau exhibition manager Rudolf Pfander emphasizes the high relevance of Swissbau and the growth potential of smart building technology: "Digitalization is changing the industry, and the various sectors of the construction and real estate industries are growing together. Building technology is already represented with suppliers from the heating, ventilation and building automation sectors." Strengthening with the main focus on building automation and energy in buildings, he said, completes building technology under one roof for the first time. Likewise, Swissbau offers the ideal platform for building security as well as light and lighting technology."
Interdisciplinary networking
According to the trade fair for the Swiss construction and real estate industry, around 100,000 visitors (80% trade visitors and 20% building owners or users) come to Swissbau in Basel each year, 57,000 of whom are decision-makers. Increasingly, the fair is also being visited by owners and investors, real estate service providers, facility managers, those responsible for Building Information Modeling (BIM) and building technology specialists. With the three sections of the trade fair, Swissbau Focus and Innovation Lab, the event covers the entire life cycle of a property.
Walo Dalhäuser, Head of Trade Fairs and Consumer Exhibitions MCH Swiss Exhibition: "For the exhibitors at Ineltec and Sicherheit, the potential of more than 21,000 architects, interior designers and other specialist planners and engineers now arises in addition to the previous visitor target groups of planners and installers."
Werner Fehlmann, Building Technologies, Siemens, underlines: "The expansion of Swissbau with energy in buildings, building automation and building security is future-oriented and meets the growing need for interdisciplinary networking. (rs)
