Security guards are in demand
Safety is currently high on the agenda, and there are numerous vacancies in Germany.
Across Germany, there are 18,352 jobs to be filled in the security industry - 75% more than in the previous year, according to the Bundesverband der Sicherheitswirtschaft (BDSW) has just communicated. The demand for security personnel has risen extremely within the last 12 months, Harald Olschok, BDSW managing director, pointed out. According to BDSW, this emerges from the 2015 labor market figures presented today by the Federal Employment Agency. The high demand for workers in the field of "protection, security and surveillance occupations" results primarily from activities in the vicinity of refugee accommodations.
According to the BDSW, private security service providers in Germany currently employ a good 215,000 security staff nationwide.
