Siemens remains solid in Switzerland

Siemens was able to maintain sales in Switzerland at a high level in the past fiscal year, as the technology company writes. The total sales revenue of the Siemens companies in the country amounted to CHF 2.871 billion and was thus practically at the previous year's level (CHF 2.886 billion).

At the end of the last fiscal year (Oct. 1, 2022 to Sept. 30, 2023), Siemens employed 5,926 specialists at over 20 locations in all parts of the country, 45 more than in the previous year, as Siemens writes in its press release. The technology company connects the real world with the digital world like no other company and supports its customers in achieving their sustainability and digitalization goals. The company is thus playing a key role in the digitalization of infrastructure in Switzerland.

CO2-neutral site

The Siemens solutions Smart Infrastructure in the field of sustainable and digital building and energy technology and Digital Industries in the field of industrial automation and industrial software remain in particularly high demand, according to reports. Matthias Rebellius, who is responsible for Switzerland on the global Siemens Managing Board, is satisfied: "Thanks to innovative products and services and an outstanding team, we continue to make solid progress in Switzerland. I am particularly proud of the campus in Zug with around 1,700 employees, which was completed in September 2023. The global headquarters of Siemens Smart Infrastructure in the heart of Switzerland is a showpiece for intelligent and digital building technology. At the completely CO2-neutral site, we develop cutting-edge technology and produce products for the global market."
In Switzerland, the company has a strong market position in building technology and energy distribution (Smart Infrastructure) as well as in industrial and drive technology (Digital Industries and Siemens Industries Software). Siemens also has a leading position in Switzerland in rail technology (Siemens Mobility). The company is also the majority owner of Siemens Healthineers, a leading provider of medical technology with a strong presence in Switzerland.
Siemens Energy, on the other hand, is a separately managed company in the energy transmission and generation sector, which also operates in Switzerland and in which the company holds a minority stake.
