Smidex Suisse is an "Exposyum" with security aspects
A new exhibition format with security aspects is being planned: next spring, Smidex Suisse - Smart ID Exposyum will take place from March 16 to 18, 2021. The three-day event in Zurich Oerlikon will be organized by StarlingExpo AG and DeltaBlue AG.
Smidex stands for "Smart ID Exposyum". As the name suggests, the new format is an "exposyum" (expo and symposium) and not a classic trade show in the traditional sense, the organizers emphasize. What exactly is this planned industry meeting place in March 2021 all about? According to Urs Ingold of StarlingExpo AG, the topics of the trade event will provide a complete overview of intelligent ID recognition, industrial security, early detection of hazards, risk minimization, facility management and life protection. The area of cyber security will not be missing; after all, IT today affects all subject areas, according to Ingold.
More marketing, less costs
Central to Smidex is the exhibitors' focus on technology and offering performance and highlighting the respective USP (Unique Selling Proposition), emphasizes Ingold. According to him, the Smidex concept meets the wish of many exhibitors: "More marketing, less costs". An optimized price/performance ratio with small modular stands with a price range of just under 9,000 Swiss francs (9 m2) to 15,000 Swiss francs (24 m2) is in the foreground, he says. A turnkey stand including catering is offered, adds partner Hanspeter Hunziker of DeltaBlue AG. It is responsible for the infrastructure at the planned event.
Where will the event take place?
The Smidex is carried out in Hall 550, a new event venue located a few minutes' walk from Zurich Oerlikon station. The former industrial site is currently under renovation and should be ready in October. Over 7000 square meters of usable space as well as an outdoor zone in the inner courtyard are available.
One can be curious about the planned industry platform, which is to take place in the appealing ambience of Hall 550. (rs)
