SSI with new board of directors
The Swiss Association of Independent Safety Engineers and Consultants, SSI for short, has elected its new board of directors.
On the board of the SSI nothing remains as it was: Since the Annual General Meeting (AGM) on April 12, 2016, the association has a new president: David Grossmann, member of the Executive Board of Basler & Hofmann, replaces the previous Christoph Zulauf, Ernst Basler + Partner. The vice president - or rather vice president - was also newly elected: Blanche Schlegel from Swissi takes over the scepter from Matthias Wegmann, Basler & Hofmann. Both have been elected for the 2016/17 financial years.
Changes in the secretariat
Daniel Beer was once the hub of many threads in the security industry. Beer, the former publisher of SicherheitsForum and organizer of various security events, has also managed the SSI secretariat up to now. Now, due to his age, he is also stepping down from this office. His successor, who was elected at the AGM, is Markus Good from the galledia subsidiary Save.
The Swiss Association of Independent Safety Consultants and Engineers influences the regulation of safety-related issues in legislation and standardization, the association writes. It maintains a dialogue with all relevant organizations as well as with the general public on safety and risk management issues. To this end, the SSI cooperates with other professional groups and consultant associations.
