City of Zurich: Bank branch robbed

An unknown man robbed the ZKB branch in Zurich-Wollishofen today and took cash in an as yet unknown amount. The Zurich City Police is looking for witnesses.

According to initial police findings, an unknown man entered the ZKB bank branch in Zurich-Wollishofen shortly after 3 p.m. with a handgun. He demanded cash at the bank counter - and received several thousand francs. After the money was stowed in a black bag with a white pattern, the unknown fled and rode away on a white city bike in the direction of Kilchberg. Nobody was injured.

Witness appeal

The suspected perpetrator (see also photo) is described as follows: gray pants, gray vest, gray T-shirt underneath, brown hair (possibly wig); he was wearing sunglasses with gold frames.

Persons who made such observations on Tuesday afternoon, August 7, 2018, between 14:45 and 15:15 at Albistrasse 36, in the immediate vicinity of the bus and streetcar stop Morgental, are asked to contact the Zurich City Police, telephone 0 444 117 117.  Source: Stapo Zurich
