Swiss Safety Center with new head of materials technology

Rene Radis succeeds Markus Zgraggen, who has successfully helped to build up this area since 2009 as IWT Institute for Materials Technology and later as a department of the Swiss Safety Center, and has now accepted a new challenge.

Operational management of the testing laboratory

Rene Radis holds a doctorate in materials science, a degree in mechanical engineering with a focus on production technology, and is a qualified international welding engineer. He brings further know-how to his new area of responsibility through his many years of professional experience from university, industry and a major international corporation. He will take over the operational management of the testing laboratory, which has its core competence in the field of materials testing and failure analysis of primarily metallic materials.
