At the stand of Siemens visitors were able to see how modern intrusion detection systems can now be operated via a web interface - encrypted and in compliance with current IT security standards. Among other things, the new SiPass 3.0 software version and new peripheral devices that also support the use of digital IDs via Apple Wallet were presented. Building X plays a central role here: among other things, a visitor management system is integrated into the platform that can be used independently of the access control system. Visitors can use it to register efficiently and intuitively at a terminal - comparable to a modern self-check-in or reception system.

A demonstration by Siveillance Video showed the possibilities offered by current video surveillance systems. The audience was given an insight into AI-supported video analysis and the integration of intercom systems. In addition, it was shown how Siemens' own plug-ins can be used to integrate intrusion detection systems and access control into the overall solution.

«Our customers are increasingly asking how they can protect critical infrastructure. The global situation has become more insecure and the issue of protection is becoming increasingly important. The demand for corresponding products is extremely high. Especially when it comes to networking and digital cloud solutions. When we started seven or eight years ago, customers were much more cautious. We feel less of that today, on the contrary. Well-protected cloud solutions are more secure than a server located in the company,» says Pascal Kägi,

Sabine Widmann, Team Leader Marketing at dormakaba, also emphasized the importance of barrier-free solutions: «It's not just about people in wheelchairs or with a rollator. Even those with a suitcase benefit from accessibility. It helps us all.»

Martin Altorfer, CEO of Securiton and Chairman of SES (Association of Swiss Installers of Security Systems) was delighted that all members of the association presented new innovations: «You can see how security technology is developing, it is moving more and more towards IT, which makes it very interesting, also for the visitors.»

With regard to his company, Altorfer was able to observe that customers were particularly interested in the topics of drones and drone detection: «We have new threats that also come from the air, and new technologies are gaining ground, on the one hand in detection, but also in intervention,» says the CEO. He also expects exciting innovations in robots in the coming years.

«The security industry is one of those that benefits when the world becomes less secure. Our customers are particularly interested in where their data is stored, especially when it comes to cloud solutions. Today, it is no longer enough to secure data somewhere in the world; customers want their data in their own country or at least in Europe,» says Roger Isler, CEO of Salto.

BSW Security: «Events like Crans-Montana are helping to make companies even more aware of safety»

Jim Steiner, CEO of BSW Security
