Emergency call day 144

On April 14, 2018, the Inter Association for Rescue, together with rescue organizations, organizes the Day of Emergency Call 144. Various rescue services and First Aid training organizations participate in this action with exciting activities throughout Switzerland, give tips for emergency situations and introduce themselves to the general public.

According to various surveys, more than a third of the population does not know the emergency number 144. In order to make this important number better known, the 144 Medical Emergency Action Day is held every year on April 14. Paramedics and emergency medical technicians as well as First aiders provide information about their expertise in rescue services on site. In addition, rescue vehicles and emergency equipment can be inspected live. Within the framework of the event, information will be provided about the correct behavior in emergency situations informed. In addition, interested parties get to know the rescue procedure better.

Inter Association for Rescue Services IVR

As an umbrella organization, the Interverband für Rettungswesen IVR promotes and coordinates medical rescue services in Switzerland. It covers the entire rescue chain on the ground, in the water and in the air from the incident site to the hospital. It sets standards for medical rescue in everyday life as well as in special and extraordinary situations.
