Conference: Minimize lost days at work!
The number of occupational and leisure accidents and occupational illnesses is on the rise. More than ever, companies are therefore faced with the question of how they can reduce the number of days lost by their employees.
Occupational and leisure accidents and occupational illnesses rose by a whopping 9.5% in 2022 compared to the previous year, as announced by Suva at the end of October 2023. The increase is put into perspective in the professional environment. This is because it largely goes hand in hand with the increase in the number of employees. According to the statistics, leisure accidents, which are attributable to sunny and dry weather and an increase in outdoor activities, are the biggest upward outliers.
Even if Swiss companies' occupational safety and health protection (OSH) at the workplace is therefore at a stable, good level, the aim must be to continue to reduce employee absences and accidents at work in the long term. The high number of occupational illnesses, for example, represents considerable potential for consistently promoting and implementing efforts relating to ASGS. The company needs healthy, productive employees in order to be efficient, performant and agile. All possible health hazards such as heavy physical strain, stress, psychological risks, hazardous substances, new forms of work and many more must be taken into account. Prevention is also a substantial factor in a tough economic environment and a rapidly changing working world.
Through effective safety and health management, companies can not only ensure the safety and health of their employees, but also achieve long-term benefits in terms of satisfaction, productivity and a positive corporate image. Especially in economically uncertain times, it is important to find a balance between cost savings and safety. ASGS should never be neglected due to cost pressures or other challenges.
The conference will address controversial and topical aspects of a safe and healthy workplace. Prevention, absence management, awareness-raising, safety culture, occupational illnesses, functional checks and agility are just a few but by no means exhaustive keywords. The speakers will competently share their experience in their core topics. Benefit from their knowledge, meet fellow experts and exchange ideas! We look forward to your participation.
