Technology partnership of IPS and Hikvision
IPS Intelligent Video Analytics, a specialist in video analytics, and Hikvision, a manufacturer of video surveillance solutions, have agreed on a technology partnership.
Peter Treutler from IPS speaks of an important strategic step: "With Hikvision we have found a strong technology and integration partner. Together we will offer installers and end customers the possibility to use the broad camera product portfolio within IPS VideoManager in the future."
Peter Guan, responsible for the DACH market at Hikvision, is also looking forward to joint projects: "IPS is a renowned manufacturer of high-quality video analytics and video management solutions and therefore the ideal partner. With the IPS software on our HD video surveillance hardware, we can offer customers in the European market a wide range of intelligent application-related analysis modules."
First joint products shown
The first steps of the collaboration could already be seen at the international security trade event Security in Essen, Germany: Hikvision showed at its booth the IPS-AnalyticsManager, a web-based platform for the integration of video analytics into third-party systems. Conversely, the latest cameras of the Chinese manufacturer, integrated in the video management system were presented at the IPS booth.
