The Swedish company Assa Abloy previously held a minority stake of 39 percent in the Swiss company Agta Record. On March 6, global manufacturer Agta Record said that once the acquisition was completed, Assa Abloy would own 93.77 percent of the shares.

Everything began in 1953

In 1953, Helmut Heinz Bunzl began selling what were then completely new door operators. More than 60 years later, the Agta Record Group is one of the world's leading manufacturers of automatic door systems. Annual sales amount to 352.5 million euros (2016).

Production takes place at the headquarters in Fehraltorf. In addition to Switzerland, the Group has production facilities in France, Germany, the USA and China. The product range includes sliding, folding and swing doors, revolving doors, airtight and hygienic doors, fire and smoke protection doors, one-way personnel door systems, high-speed doors for industrial applications and safety doors for use in escape and rescue routes. However, telescopic, circular and angled sliding doors as well as burglar-resistant doors are also manufactured.

Agta Record employs more than 2500 people worldwide and has a distribution network of 43 subsidiaries and around 200 distributors. (rs)
