Video security requires professional control center
Video security systems are an important part of a comprehensive security concept. But even the most modern video systems cannot prevent damage if no one sees the images of the incidents.
In order to be able to react promptly and specifically to relevant events, uninterrupted observation and evaluation of the images is required. Therefore, real-time transmission of the videos to a professional emergency call and service control center (NSL) is recommended, according to the German Federal Association for Security Technology (BHE).
The objectives, functions and advantages of remote video activation are explained in the BHE paper "Good reasons for video activation". It illustrates the prevention, intervention and education potential offered by the observation of video images by the qualified personnel of the control center. Furthermore, the document presents the technical requirements necessary for an optimal result.
