VKF with new director
Stefan Aeschimann (54) will take over the management of all joint ventures of the Cantonal Building Insurers as of July 1, 2016, according to a statement.
The new man at the helm of Cantonal building insurances replaces Director Martin Kamber, who is retiring. Stefan Aeschimann becomes the new head of the VKF (Association of Cantonal Fire Insurers), the IRV (Intercantonal Reinsurance Association) and the Swiss pool for earthquake coverage. The HSG economist has many years of professional experience in business, politics and administration, writes the new employer. Aeschimann was most recently head of public affairs and deputy head of the corporate staff of energy services provider Alpiq. Prior to that, he served as secretary general of the Federal Department of Economic Affairs and was a personal assistant to then-Federal Councillor Adolf Ogi, according to the statement. Aeschimann was also secretary of the Swiss Trade Association.
Thanks to this broad experience at the interface of politics and business, the future director brings with him the ideal prerequisites to manage the association business of the Cantonal Building Insurances with foresight, the Newsaktuell report concludes.
