This means that all security companies with ten or more employees will continue to be obliged to comply with minimum standards in terms of wages, training and working hours after June 30, 2019. A discontinuation of the declaration of general applicability, which would have expired in a few days, was prevented at the last minute.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Adjusted CLA <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The social partners have also agreed on a new CLA that is to come into force on January 1, 2020, as the VSSU further emphasizes. The working conditions of the security employees are to be improved in several points:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>An increase in entry-level wages of 0.5 % to 1 % depending on the category.<\/li>\n<li>a time premium for months with high workloads<\/li>\n<li>a paternity leave of 3 days instead of 1 day so far<\/li>\n<li>a surcharge for armed personnel<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In addition, the CLA is intended to regulate the subcontracting of orders, as the VSSU also writes. Finally, greater flexibility will be granted with regard to minus hours at the end of the year: minus hours up to -10% can be carried over to the following year. This change would allow more permanent positions to be retained in the industry.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Price pressure <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>According to the VSSU, the social partners of the private security industry want to preserve the quality of private security services and improve the working conditions of security employees with the adapted CLA despite extreme price competition in the industry.
