Phishing messages with the sender "Eidgenössische Zollverwaltung" (Federal Customs Administration) have been sent out increasingly lately.
More and more often, people receive a so-called phishing message, via mail or SMS, which is sent from the Federal Customs Administration (FCA) is supposed to originate. In this context, Swiss Customs points out that it does not provide information via SMS or e-mail when it comes to financial transactions.

How can those affected proceed?
Customs recommends ignoring and deleting such messages. Phishing e-mails can also be reported to the Reporting and Analysis Center for Information Assurance. MELANI of the federal government.
People who have been defrauded of money by the message can file a report with their respective police station and also submit a report to MELANI, the FCA emphasizes.
