The program of the second first-aid symposium

Even before the emergency services arrive, first responders have to do good preliminary work. The better the understanding of this cooperation, the more the victims benefit. This topic will be addressed at the second first-aid symposium on November 5 in the KKL Luzern.

First Aider

In an accident, every second is a matter of life and death. But even before the emergency services arrive, first responders are needed. Their preliminary work must go as well as possible so that the rescue services can take over in the best possible way. It is not uncommon for misunderstandings or bad experiences to occur. First responders and rescue services need to know what to expect from each other. The second first-aider symposium on November 5, 2022 in the KKL Luzern aims to shed more light on this topic.

Plenty of room for expert questions

The selection of topics is intended to appeal to all first responders, according to a statement from the Swiss Association for Occupational Health (SVBS) and Betriebsapotheke.ch. The representatives of the blue-light organizations should also gain exciting insights and new perspectives on their role in interacting with first responders. For example, the course of an accident will be covered based on a typical rescue chain. Professionals from various blue-light organizations will present their views on the various phases of an emergency rescue and answer questions from the participants.

Experts represented include Iris Weber, Head of Emergency Medical Services 144 Central Switzerland, and Jan Bauke, Head of Training for Firefighters and Civil Defense, Deputy Commander of the Fire Department at Schutz & Rettung Zurich.

As with the last year's First Aider Symposium there will be plenty of room for questions from the audience after each lecture. The lectures will be simultaneously translated from German into French. The hours will count towards the IRV certificate and SGAS continuing education points will be awarded. As last year, various exhibitors will also present their products, courses and services in the foyer.
