Les \u00e9quipements de protection individuelle (EPI), tels que les gants, doivent prot\u00e9ger les travailleurs contre les influences nocives. La l\u00e9gislation allemande <a href=\"http:\/\/www.baua.de\/\">Institut f\u00e9d\u00e9ral pour la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 et la sant\u00e9 au travail<\/a> (BAuA) a fait examiner dans un travail de synth\u00e8se comparatif l'effet des \u00e9quipements de protection individuelle sur la base de donn\u00e9es bibliographiques. Le site <a href=\"http:\/\/www.baua.de\/de\/Publikationen\/Fachbeitraege\/Gd89.html\">Rapport <\/a>\u201e<span lang=\"en-GB\" xml:lang=\"en-GB\">Efficacit\u00e9 des \u00e9quipements de protection individuelle contre l'exposition dermique - une \u00e9tude comparative<\/span>\", qui a \u00e9t\u00e9 mandat\u00e9 par la <acronym title=\"Institut f\u00e9d\u00e9ral pour la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 et la sant\u00e9 au travail\">BAuA<\/acronym> donne un aper\u00e7u complet de l'\u00e9tat actuel des connaissances. Il se penche \u00e9galement sur les facteurs qui influencent l'efficacit\u00e9 des diff\u00e9rents \u00e9quipements de protection. Outre les caract\u00e9ristiques de l'\u00e9quipement, l'application correcte est par exemple d\u00e9cisive pour l'efficacit\u00e9 de la protection.<\/p>\n<p>Il existe diff\u00e9rents types d'EPI pour prot\u00e9ger les travailleurs contre les risques li\u00e9s au contact avec la peau. Les gants sont les plus r\u00e9pandus. Mais on utilise \u00e9galement des combinaisons de protection, des cagoules ou des chaussures. Jusqu'\u00e0 pr\u00e9sent, leur efficacit\u00e9 \u00e9tait surtout d\u00e9termin\u00e9e par les propri\u00e9t\u00e9s des mat\u00e9riaux, comme la perm\u00e9abilit\u00e9. Les temps de rupture, par exemple, permettent d'estimer la dur\u00e9e de r\u00e9sistance d'un mat\u00e9riau \u00e0 une substance chimique. Le vieillissement et l'usure peuvent \u00e9galement r\u00e9duire l'efficacit\u00e9 des \u00e9quipements de protection. Diff\u00e9rentes \u00e9tudes ont examin\u00e9 l'efficacit\u00e9 de diff\u00e9rents mat\u00e9riaux et \u00e9quipements. Le rapport pr\u00e9sente l'\u00e9tat actuel de ces \u00e9tudes dans une base de donn\u00e9es et les analyse de mani\u00e8re comparative afin de v\u00e9rifier les facteurs standard pour l'\u00e9tude et l'\u00e9valuation des v\u00eatements de protection.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Les facteurs ne suffisent pas<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>L'\u00e9tude comparative a montr\u00e9 que les facteurs relev\u00e9s jusqu'\u00e0 pr\u00e9sent ne sont pas toujours suffisants pour d\u00e9terminer de mani\u00e8re fiable l'efficacit\u00e9 des v\u00eatements de protection. D'une part, les conditions de l'\u00e9tude peuvent avoir une influence sur les facteurs de protection d\u00e9termin\u00e9s dans les \u00e9tudes. Il s'agit notamment de la conception de l'\u00e9tude ou du pr\u00e9l\u00e8vement d'\u00e9chantillons. D'autre part, le niveau de protection est \u00e9galement influenc\u00e9 par des facteurs li\u00e9s \u00e0 l'application. Outre la dur\u00e9e d'utilisation et les influences de l'environnement, le comportement des utilisateurs d\u00e9termine \u00e9galement l'efficacit\u00e9 des \u00e9quipements de protection individuelle. Il s'agit notamment de l'habillage et du d\u00e9shabillage corrects, ainsi que du nettoyage et de l'utilisation corrects de l'\u00e9quipement.
