Les chercheurs de la <a href=\"http:\/\/english.aiofm.cas.cn\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Institut d'optique et de m\u00e9canique fine d'Anhui, Acad\u00e9mie chinoise des sciences<\/a> ont mis au point une m\u00e9thode permettant de cr\u00e9er l'image 3D d'un nuage de gaz de fuite, qui fournit des informations d\u00e9taill\u00e9es sur la fuite, comme son emplacement, son volume et sa concentration. Cette nouvelle approche de la d\u00e9tection automatique pourrait \u00eatre utilis\u00e9e pour l'alerte pr\u00e9coce, l'\u00e9valuation des risques ou la d\u00e9termination de la meilleure m\u00e9thode de r\u00e9paration des fuites de gaz. Les d\u00e9tails ont \u00e9t\u00e9 publi\u00e9s dans \"Optics Express\".<\/p>\n<h2>Image 3D pr\u00e9cise du nuage gr\u00e2ce au GPS<\/h2>\n<p>\"Avec le d\u00e9veloppement rapide de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9, il existe aujourd'hui partout dans le monde de grandes installations o\u00f9 sont stock\u00e9s des produits chimiques toxiques, nocifs, inflammables et explosifs. Si une fuite se produit dans l'une de ces installations, il est important de comprendre rapidement la composition, la concentration, l'emplacement et la distribution\", explique le directeur de recherche Liang Xu. La m\u00e9thode combine les infos de deux syst\u00e8mes d'imagerie FTIR (spectroscopie infrarouge \u00e0 transform\u00e9e de Fourier) avec des donn\u00e9es de positionnement pr\u00e9cises provenant de capteurs GPS et gyroscopiques pour cr\u00e9er une image 3D du nuage de gaz qui est superpos\u00e9e \u00e0 une carte num\u00e9rique Google Earth.<\/p>\n<p>\"Jusqu'\u00e0 pr\u00e9sent, en cas de fuite, il n'\u00e9tait pas possible de d\u00e9terminer l'endroit exact et la direction dans laquelle le gaz se d\u00e9pla\u00e7ait. Notre m\u00e9thode de reconstruction 3D d'un nuage de gaz peut \u00eatre utilis\u00e9e pour d\u00e9terminer avec pr\u00e9cision la latitude et la longitude du gaz qui s'\u00e9chappe. Ces informations sont importantes pour d\u00e9terminer qui pourrait \u00eatre en danger et pour arr\u00eater rapidement la fuite afin de r\u00e9duire la quantit\u00e9 de gaz dans l'atmosph\u00e8re\", souligne Yunyou Hu, premier auteur de l'\u00e9tude.<\/p>\n<h2>Longitude, latitude, concentration<\/h2>\n<p>La spectroscopie IRTF est souvent utilis\u00e9e pour la d\u00e9tection quantitative \u00e0 distance des polluants gazeux en raison de sa sensibilit\u00e9 et de sa r\u00e9solution \u00e9lev\u00e9es, ainsi que de sa capacit\u00e9 \u00e0 effectuer des mesures en temps r\u00e9el avec une port\u00e9e d'environ cinq kilom\u00e8tres. Toutefois, un seul syst\u00e8me de t\u00e9l\u00e9d\u00e9tection FTIR ne fournit que des informations 2D sur une fuite de gaz. Pour cr\u00e9er une image 3D, les chercheurs utilisent deux syst\u00e8mes pour obtenir des mesures 2D d'un nuage de gaz sous diff\u00e9rentes perspectives. Ces informations sont enregistr\u00e9es dans l'espace avec des donn\u00e9es de localisation obtenues \u00e0 l'aide de capteurs GPS et gyroscopiques. Les donn\u00e9es sont introduites dans l'algorithme d'imagerie par tomographie assist\u00e9e par ordinateur \"Technique de reconstruction alg\u00e9brique simultan\u00e9e\", qui cr\u00e9e une reconstruction 3D du nuage de gaz.<\/p>\n<p>\"Chaque voxel ou pixel 3D dans le nuage de gaz reconstruit en 3D contient des informations 3D sur la latitude et la longitude, la concentration et l'altitude du gaz par rapport au sol. Le positionnement pr\u00e9cis de l'espace surveill\u00e9 \u00e0 l'aide de capteurs GPS et gyroscopiques est la cl\u00e9 de la reconstruction quantitative en 3D des nuages de gaz\", illustre Hu.<\/p>\n<h2>D\u00e9tecter les fuites de gaz dans l'industrie<\/h2>\n<p>Les chercheurs ont test\u00e9 leur nouvelle m\u00e9thode dans le cadre d'une exp\u00e9rience en plein air, au cours de laquelle ils ont utilis\u00e9 deux syst\u00e8mes de t\u00e9l\u00e9d\u00e9tection IRTF \u00e0 balayage pour surveiller \u00e0 distance de petites quantit\u00e9s d'hexafluorure de soufre et de m\u00e9thane lib\u00e9r\u00e9es pendant deux minutes dans un espace d'environ 315 m\u00e8tres cubes. Ils ont r\u00e9ussi \u00e0 cr\u00e9er des repr\u00e9sentations 3D des nuages de gaz avec la longitude, la latitude, l'altitude et la distribution des concentrations pour les deux gaz.<\/p>\n<p>\"Pour appliquer notre technique dans un sc\u00e9nario r\u00e9el, il faudrait installer deux syst\u00e8mes d'imagerie FTIR \u00e0 balayage ou plus autour de la zone surveill\u00e9e pour former un r\u00e9seau de balayage crois\u00e9\", explique Hu. \"La m\u00e9thode que nous proposons pourrait ensuite \u00eatre utilis\u00e9e pour cr\u00e9er une reconstruction 3D d'un nuage de gaz fuyant, qui pourrait \u00e0 son tour \u00eatre utilis\u00e9e pour localiser la source de la fuite et fournir des informations d'alerte pr\u00e9coce\".
