Et bien que des millions de personnes soient concern\u00e9es dans leur vie quotidienne, le processus complexe de la cicatrisation n'est pas encore enti\u00e8rement compris ni m\u00eame contr\u00f4lable. Des chercheurs de l'Empa ont donc d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 une mousse qui, plac\u00e9e dans les plaies cutan\u00e9es, optimise le processus naturel de gu\u00e9rison. Avec le projet \"Scaravoid\", Markus Rottmar et son \u00e9quipe du laboratoire \"Biointerfaces\" de l'Empa \u00e0 Saint-Gall ont fait un pas dans une nouvelle direction. \"Les traitements traditionnels ciblent certains facteurs de la cicatrisation, comme l'oxyg\u00e9nation ou la r\u00e9gulation de l'humidit\u00e9, et ne produisent qu'une r\u00e9ponse tissulaire insuffisante\", explique Rottmar. Dans le cadre de \"Scaravoid\", qui est soutenu par la fondation Gebert R\u00fcf, le processus de gu\u00e9rison doit \u00eatre compris et soutenu de mani\u00e8re plus globale.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Une interaction parfaite<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Ce qui est clair jusqu'\u00e0 pr\u00e9sent, c'est qu'une interaction parfaitement orchestr\u00e9e entre de nombreux facteurs dans le corps est n\u00e9cessaire pour refermer une l\u00e9sion de la peau et la transformer en tissu sain. Les cellules doivent \u00eatre attir\u00e9es pour qu'une inflammation bien dos\u00e9e nettoie la plaie. Pour que le d\u00e9faut nettoy\u00e9 se referme, de nouveaux tissus se d\u00e9veloppent et se transforment finalement en une peau fonctionnelle. Aussi \u00e9tonnantes que soient les forces d'autogu\u00e9rison du corps dans le cas id\u00e9al, un dysfonctionnement peut toutefois perturber l'\u00e9quilibre et entra\u00eener une formation excessive de cicatrices ou une fermeture insuffisante de la plaie.
