Nei Paesi in cui l'amianto \u00e8 vietato, l'esposizione dovuta all'uso passato persiste. Questo <a href=\"http:\/\/www.euro.who.int\/de\/media-centre\/sections\/press-releases\/2015\/at-least-one-in-three-europeans-can-be-exposed-to-asbestos-at-work-and-in-the-environment\" target=\"_blank\" data-cke-saved-href=\"http:\/\/www.euro.who.int\/de\/media-centre\/sections\/press-releases\/2015\/at-least-one-in-three-europeans-can-be-exposed-to-asbestos-at-work-and-in-the-environment\" rel=\"noopener\">riferisce l'Organizzazione Mondiale della Sanit\u00e0 OMS<\/a> in occasione della conferenza sul tema e la salute tenutasi ad Haifa (Israele) e invita i Paesi a fare a meno dell'amianto.<\/p>\n<p>Ogni anno, 15.000 persone in Europa muoiono per malattie legate all'amianto. Queste includono, ad esempio, il cancro ai polmoni, alle ovaie o alla laringe, il mesotelioma e l'asbestosi. Il modo pi\u00f9 efficace per eliminare queste malattie \u00e8 smettere di utilizzare l'amianto in qualsiasi forma.<\/p>\n<p>L'amianto \u00e8 ancora ammesso in 16 Paesi della regione, tra cui Albania, Monaco, Russia e Ucraina.<\/p>\n<p>L'eliminazione delle malattie legate all'amianto \u00e8 stato uno dei temi principali dell'incontro di Haifa.
