Corona: compulsory presence at paramedic courses still ensured
The implementation of life-saving BLS-AED courses is still possible. The Federal Council has made appropriate adjustments to the exceptions for physical presence training.
As summarized by the Swiss Resuscitation Council (SRC) association, the federal government does not refrain from compulsory attendance at emergency aid courses. Although physical presence is currently prohibited in principle at educational events, the Federal Council nevertheless refrains from an absolute ban on presence even with the tightening Covid 19 measures of January 13.
However, there are corresponding adjustments to the explanations on Art. 6d of the Regulation Covid-19, which describes the interpretation of the exception for face-to-face instruction:
Newly, the exemptions are limited to continuing education offerings that are
- to a state-regulated qualification (for example, higher vocational education)
- a recognized industry degree or
- other diplomas and certificates important for the company (such as Emergency helper or "lifesaving" courses) lead.
Prerequisite for the admissibility of face-to-face teaching remains that physical presence is mandatory. Nursing or medical professions are cited as examples.
Furthermore important are the Recommendations from federal and cantonal authorities.
