SES honors junior staff

Once again, the SES trade association was recently able to award 17 young professionals with the federal "Project Manager Safety Systems" certificate. Those who have the diploma in their pocket can increase their market value.

The Association of Swiss Installers of Security Systems (SES) has taken up the cause of professional safety. But this is not possible without junior staff, who need to be trained. That's why SES, in cooperation with the Winterthur Technical College (STFW) the course "Project Manager Security Systems". The additional training was first advertised in 2009, and since then around 20 young professionals have taken up the challenge each year.

On February 1, 2018, it was that time again, the eighth diploma ceremony took place in the trendy "Nietturm-Bar" in the "Schiffbau" in the cultural and nightlife district of Zurich West. In his speech, SES President Peter Nebiker (pictured: front row, second from right) pointed out that in the security industry in particular, complexity is increasing sharply as a result of digitalization and networking of systems. This makes it all the more important to have the kind of in-depth training offered by the association. The SES project manager training optionally provides the necessary tools in the specializations "Security" or "Fire". The part-time course of all six modules takes at least 18 months. Those who persevere can expect to receive a federal certificate of proficiency after passing the exam.

17 freshly graduated project managers safety

Peter Nebiker and Erich Meier, rector of the STFW, were able to present the 17 newly qualified project managers for security systems with the federal certificate of proficiency. A paper with which the young professionals can confidently go into the next salary negotiations, as Rector Meier put it.

The advanced training has been successfully passed (in alphabetical order): Viktor Anderegg, Nikoll Bisaku, Simon Dössegger, Florian Eugster, Michael Fässler, Gian-Reto Gelmi, Marco Peter, Michael Rappo, Luis Rodriguez, Kilian Truninger, David Wüthrich, Lars Engeler, Lukas Furgler, Michael Gut, David It, Holger Jaekel, Manuel Keller.

Top marks were awarded in the "Fire" category to Lars Engeler (Securiton AG) and in the "Security" category to Simon Dössegger (Schäfer Partner AG) and Luis Rodriguez (OSC GmbH).
