"Against forced radiation and for a low radiation world".
After the first national demonstration in Bern, which united more than 2000 people on Waisenhausplatz on May 10, 2019, a second rally against the introduction of 5G is planned for next September 21. This time it will take place on the Bundesplatz and will be supported by numerous associations and groups. The rally is intended to demonstrate against forced radiation and for a low-radiation world. The organizer of the rally, frequencia, is an environmental and consumer organization that addresses the risks of digitalization and mobile technologies such as 5G.
Under the flag of frequencia will be held on September 21 the second national STOP 5G-event will enliven the Bundesplatz. Several competent speakers will point out the considerable risks for health, environment, democracy and security associated with mobile radio in general and with the introduction of the 5G technology frequencia also wants to show that there are solutions and that we all hold the key to preserving health and the environment. This is what the organization is committed to.
In the current debate about future mobile coverage, frequencia sees an opportunity to set paths towards a new mobile infrastructure. The demand that frequencia is making of the lobby and the state is clear: "From the fact that 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G will have a negative impact on health and the Environment the consequences must finally be drawn and the state must assume the corresponding responsibility. The organization states: We are for low-radiation living spaces and for freedom of choice regarding the means of communication. Knowing that 80% of all mobile connections are made "indoors", i.e. from the inside of buildings and means of transport, and only 20% "outdoors", i.e. outdoors, we call for a low-radiation solution based on the fiber optic network: Indoors should basically low radiation be. They should only be served internally with radiation where someone explicitly wants that. Thus, the mobile phone masts only have to serve the mobile connections in the open air and can radiate much weaker. But also every single consumer has a responsibility how to deal with mobile technology", says Uwe Dinger, Co-President of frequencia.
On the same day, September 21, frequencia will launch its homepage www.frequencia.ch at 6:30 p.m. and also launch an online information campaign to alert the public to the health, environmental and safety risks associated with 5G technology.
