The Video Security Standard supports operators, installers and users of a video security system (see also Professional article in our knowledge base): The tool provides assistance in the realization of such a monitoring system.

Only the numbering has changed

The previous standard EN50132-7 "Application rules for video surveillance systems" is replaced by the new EN62676-4. The reason behind this is that the European CENELEC standard is now available globally as an IEC standard. Since IEC standards have numbers between 60000 and 79999, the previously known number changes.

The good news is: except for the number, nothing has changed. Both standards are identical in content and everything said about EN50132-7 remains valid for EN62676-4 as well.
