Change in the management of the VSSU

The VSSU (Association of Swiss Security Services Companies) has a new director: Pascal Cattilaz replaces Luc A. Sergy. Sergy had been in this position since July 2017. Due to age and illness, he has decided to retire early at the end of 2023, the VSSU writes.

The Board of Directors of the VSSU has been working intensively on a succession plan over the past few months, writes the association in a statement dated June 30. The position of director of the VSSU was advertised last March among the VSSU member companies and publicly. In a structured process, the applications received were analyzed, interviews conducted and evaluated.

Cattilaz to take over as of October

At the board meeting in mid-June, the association decided on a successor solution: Pascal Cattilaz, an expert in the security industry, was appointed as the new director. According to information, he will take over the function of VSSU director as of October 1, 2023.

According to the VSSU, Pascal Cattilaz worked for a medical technology company for several years after completing his apprenticeship as a multimedia electronics technician. In 2002, he joined Securitas AG as head of the logistics and infrastructure staff department. In this role, he played a key role in shaping the increased use of technical products and systems on the operational front. As of January 2018, Cattilaz had been promoted to Regional Manager Berne at Securiton AG. In this important function, he managed the largest branch in terms of sales with over 120 employees. (rs)
